A painter of Japanese art born in Hiroshima prefecture with the given name Zenjiro. He studied under Tanaka Hakuin, and later went to Kyoto to study the southern school Chinese painting method under Hattori Goro and Egami Keizan. He later studied with Tomioka Tessai, and Uragami Gyokudo. Keishu attempted to unify oil paintings and water colors with a southern school Chinese painting style. Keishu was influenced by Umehara Ryusaburo and Nakagawa Kazumasa and other notables. He also create well of poetical writing, seal engraving and a 31 - syllable.Japanese poem "Waka".Died in 1956 at age of 64.

A Japanese painter born in Niigata Prefecture. His real name was Shinjiro, and he studied Southern School painitng under Kodama Hakuku, Kosaka Shibaden, and Komuro Suiun. He later pursued studies in Chinese classics. He died in 1979 at the age of 81.
